I just got back from the 2014 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. If you've never been, this is the biggest trade show for knifemakers, related products, and their customers this side of the SHOT Show, and certainly the biggest deal when it comes to knife manufacturers.

The Cobb convention center is air-conditioned against the Georgia Heat, but the crowds at Blade are so thick that the convention room itself is hotter than outside. Nobody seems to mind because there is so much to see, from the latest in knives, swords, and just-introduced products, classes on knifemaking and survival, to demonstrations that took place right in the companies' sales areas. I was amazed at just how much there was to see and learn at the show, and of course there was the opportunity to meet the people behind the companies whose products we sell and recommend.
Stay tuned later in the week as we bring you more insight and analysis from the show, including our chats with a couple of the vendors there -- one of whom is fulfilling the very definition of the 'American Dream' from the deserts of our hometown in Phoenix Arizona.
