Taurus 85 View .38 Revolver

There is a tiny addition to the Taurus family of firearms with the addition of the 85 View Revolver weighing in at just 8.9 ounces making it the lightest .38 SPL. The width is just 2.4 inches for a lightweight low profile concealed carry. A key feature granting the View its namesake is a Lexan Sideplate allowing you to see its inner workings. Taurus Holdings, President and CEO Mark Kresser points out,"I think people are interested in how a firearm works." They also point out in their new catalog for 2014 that the window provides you the capability of seeing any possible flaws or cracking from long term use.

Taurus View .38 Revolver
As with most pocket carry handguns, the View has a heavy trigger pull at 9.5 pounds. The cylinder and barrel are manufactured with titanium and the ejector rod is stainless steel. The frame is aluminum. Taurus equipped the View with a contoured grip with a unique curvature to enhance the minuscule profile and allow for an easy purchase for concealed carry.
