New Kel-Tec RDB and M43 Bullpup Rifles for 2014

You have to give it to Kel-Tec, they are always keeping things interesting in the world of firearms and manufacture creations that will certainly generate buzz and brand awareness. A member of the Kel-Tec Owners Group Forum shared a magazine advertisement showing off the new RDB and M43 Bullpups. With the success of IWI's Tavor SAR, we expected to see more Bullpup models at SHOT SHOW 2014 and Kel-Tec will have at least two chambered in .223 Rem to counter their RFB chambered in 7.62x51mm, and a total of four new models on display.

You can also see from the little info given that they will have the options for 6.5 Grendel and 7.62X39mm. They will have ambi controls like the Tavor SAR. In the case of the new rifles, they will have a long-stroke gas piston system apposed to a short stroke as with their RFB Bullpup. They will also take standard magazines for the .223 models. The barrels will be 17.5" for .223 Rem models, so overall length can certainly be expected to exceed that of the Tavor SAR, which may be putting it mildly with just a quick side by side gander from this photo.

The M43 Designation makes perfect sense for the 7.62x39 variant with the cartridge name being carried over as a moniker for some Modern Sporting Rifles. Apparently Kel-Tec wants both aesthetics for the different caliber options. We will surely know more sooner than later with four new models on display at SHOT Show in just about 2 weeks away.
