Ruger SR-762

Big fans of the SR-556, who are seeking out a larger caliber version will get an early Christmas surprise as Ruger has now introduced the SR-762 chambered for .308/7.62 NATO ammunition. The first model released falls in line with the SR-556E including a smooth handguard with Picatinny rail up top and modular rail sections to be added at the 3, 6, and 9 positions.

The SR-762 rifle features a 16.12" barrel with a 1:10 twist and a total weight of 8.6 pounds. Other key specs are included in the diagram below. As with the 556 version, the SR-762 rifle utilizes Ruger's own patented Two-Stage Piston System with a 4 position regulator.
