TAD Huntsman 200 Henly TGL Review

Our friends over at The Gear Locker got their hands on a fine Merino Wool undershirt from Triple Aught Design called the Huntsman 200 Henly. We have provided their full review which didn't happen to include use while picking safety deposit boxes.

With the cold weather now upon us, it is always great to have another base layer in your rotation.  This time, we are going to  review TAD’s (Triple Aught Design) Huntsman 200 Henley Base Layer. A Base Layer with a classic look and styling, TAD is known for their styling and use of different fabrics and materials to meet the demanding needs of the outdoors and those that are in harm’s way.

The Huntsman is made with Merino Wool and instead of a 1/4 neck zipper, TAD has Canadian Tape Slotted Buttons (TAD gives you a spare Button).  It is a nice touch on a very comfortable and warm shirt. The classic design of the Huntsman works great with a light sweater while at work, or if you are headed outdoors, you can use it with a flannel shirt, sweatshirt, or jacket.

It is a great Base Layer that you can wear when you are out hiking, in the office, or walking around a city.  The Huntsman is stylish and functional to work in many different settings.

I recently used the Huntsman as my base layer when I was at Media Day at SHOT Show 2013, and it worked great!  It helped keep me warm with the cold temps and high winds in the Las Vegas Desert. And, the smooth texture of the wool makes it feel great against your body, and the flat seams ensure that you are not itching as the day progresses.

The Huntsman comes in Heather Grey and Black, and sizes from XS to XXXL, and retails for $99.00.  View all of TGL's  reviews at
