New NZDF Combat Uniforms and Eberlestock Field Pack

Earlier this year the New Zealand Defense Force introduced the Multi Terrain Camouflage pattern developed by HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp. chosen for the new MCU. The Multi-Terrain Combat Uniform is just one part of the multi-layered Improved Combat Clothing System being introduced next year with six different levels of protection.

It is noted that the third level, which makes up the key components of the MCU will feature both an FR and non-FR selecton for the trouser and shirt to be worn as deemed appropriate. The FR Under Armour Shirt is a completely new item that mirrors the combat shirts worn by many military forces for a more suitable shirt used in conjunction with personal protection equipment.

The Level 5 Combat Jacket and Wet Weather selection will also be in the Multi Terrain Camouflage. The ICCS is appropriately layered with a multi-tiered under wear system providing ballistic and FR protection as well as FR Merino Wool thermal underwear, and fleece top and bottom liners. A 6th Level of Extreme Cold Weather wear will also be released later than the other items. Operational units should have many of the new items by the Summer of 2013.

NZDF MCU Level 5
In addition to the new ICCS, the New Zealand Army has announced the introduction of the Eberlestock Terminator F4NT Field Pack to replace their current ALICE pack. The new pack is fairly comparable to the Eberlestock Terminator F4M, but a specific design for New Zealand's Soldiers. We have provided the full specs given below.
