It was announced today that Toyko based ABC-MART, a top Japanese footwear retailer will be purchasing a majority of LaCrosse Footwear Inc.'s outstanding stock (BOOT) including that of major share holders on the Board of Directors. The major Portland based footwear manufacturer which holds the brands Danner and LaCrosse will become a subsidiary of ABC-MART and remain in their current facilities. It is noted that this move will expand the US made brands to an international market, while currently maintaining US based production.
