The F90 promises to offer a lightweight alternative that weighs in at 7.16 pounds, which is  1.41 pounds lighter than the F88SA2 and continues on the legacy of the bullpup design for a compact rifle that offers a longer barrel for greater velocity. The rifle features a NATO tri-rail system and magazines, as well as a 40MM grenade launcher. Five different options will be offered including the Grenade Launcher variant, Marksman with an extended barrel, a lighter CQB variant with a 14.17 inch barrel. Thales will be teaming up with Steyr Mannlicher for other defense  pursuits with the F90 including the French DGA Famas replacement project.
