Sheep Dog Impact Assistance on the Scene

Propper International recently announced their corporate partnership with Sheep Dog Impact Assistance in conjunction with their upcoming Summer line. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go towards the great efforts of SDIA.

Sheepdog Impact Assistance is an all volunteer organization that helps support military, law enforcement, fire fighters and other public safety personnel during national disasters and times of community hardship. Many of its members previously or currently associated with these exact organizations and have advanced training that provides them with the means of helping out in these situations.

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance Helping Out in Indiana
With the recent destruction in the mid-west from heavy storms and tornadoes, Sheep Dog took their organizations mission to task. Here is a shot shared by Propper of the groups members helping out in Southern Indiana. A quote from the organizations website sums up their viewpoint on why they do what they do:

“Here is how the sheep and the Sheep Dog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the Sheep Dog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, “Thank God I wasn’t on one of those planes.” The Sheep Dogs, the warriors, said, “Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference.” When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.” – On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheep Dogs – LtCol Dave Grossman (US Army), author of On Combat
