Windham Weaponry Supports Paralyzed Veterans of America

Windham Weaponry US Flag Receiver
When I recently picked up Windham Weaponry's new rifle, I noticed the US Flag etched on the lower receiver. Not much thought was given other than the obvious notion of patriotism and Made in America craftsmanship.

As it turns out, Windham Weaponry and their firearms retailer Cabela's is donating a portion of the sales for select rifles to the Paralyzed Veterans of America Outdoor Recreation Heritage Fund.

The ORHF takes funding and puts it towards recreational shooting and other outdoor activities for wounded warriors. Outdoor sports such as hunting and fishing are popular past time for veterans, so providing the means for those injured in combat the same opportunity as others is a great cause for support.

The thought of not being able to participate in these types of activities like you once had is buffered by groups like this that make the effort to provide recreational services to Paralyzed Veterans. Other great brands utilized by military personnel, including Kershaw Knives this same organization.

In Windham Weaponry's release, they note that a Be a Hero, Help a Hero dog tag will also be provided with Special Edition rifles. A flier provided with the rifle notes that it is the PVA's mission to receive at least a $20 donation from 100,000 Patriotic Americans. You can donate online to this cause at PVAHeritageFund.org or Text "HERO" to 25383 to have a $10 donation added to your phone bill. There are many great Veterans organizations out there and this appears to be a well thought out movement toward increasing the overall health of those that risked it all for our nation.
