Kryon Terminator Armor NIJ Approved

After much needed hoop jumping with necessary ballistic testing, Bourque Industries has finally received the NIJ certification for their Level III Terminator Armor Plates. The main feature they are now touting is the ability to absorb a round without injury ricochet or from the round splintering off. Weight savings has always been a major advantage purported for the Kryon alloy, so it will be interesting to see the figures released on all plate options, and how they compare to the competition.

What does this all mean for the metallurgy masterminds? Well, they can now easily market their body armor plates to the law enforcement masses across the country. You can have the best innovations, but if it does not receive that seal of approval from the National Institute of Justice, then you are just another one of the many peddling hype that hasn't been properly put through the ringer.

As we have noted in the past, Bourques Industries is an Arizona based manufacturing company, so we certainly wish them well in boosting our states economy, as well as keeping our law enforcement officers and troops safe with their new innovations.
