It was noted yesterday by Magnum USA that their CEO Bob Kaiser would be leaving the company to move on to other pursuits. He had been at the helm since October 2010 after moving from his position as CEO of their sister company Hi-Tec Sports USA. Clearly the company has taken great strides under his leadership and we have covered some of their top innovations in boot and shoe designs including the launch of the Spider collection, as well as bringing full coverage camouflage to military footwear.
The big announcement focused on Brad Gebhard taking the reigns as CEO of both US based companies. Gebhard was previously the Senior Vice President for Speedo and Calvin Klein Swim for Speedo USA for nearly five years and carries two decades of Senior level management including top footwear brands like Columbia, Adidas, Salomon, and Nike. He will be based at their Portland Hi-Tec headquarters rather than the Magnum Modesto, CA offices.

Global CEO Ed van Wezel of the parent company Hi-Tec Sports Ltd. out of Amsterdam, whom took over the lead role from his father and founder of the company earlier this year had the following statement, "Magnum and Hi-Tec are well established global brands with an authentic and valuable heritage spanning 35 years. The US is the single biggest growth opportunity for both Hi-Tec and Magnum, and we are extremely pleased to have Brad take the helm in this new role."
We look forward to the future innovations in footwear and apparel that Magnum USA has put out in combination with Hi-Tec designs that they have integrated and wish the new CEO well in his leadership of both great companies.
