With Less than 6 weeks till the big 4 day event in Las Vegas, you had better start your planning if you want to fit in all the exhibits and products that are of interest to you a SHOT Show. It may seem like a lot of time to pack it all in, but just 3 days of floor show is goes in a blur given the enormity of exhibitors on hand.
Luckily the coordinator of the SHOT Show have thought this through and our getting the word out on their interactive planner, which includes a personal calendar for scheduling your plan of action as well as an amazing floor plan where you can see all booths broken up in section with different categories of products.
With two levels of action and thousands of people taking up space, you may want to skim over some areas while allocating more time to the bread and butter booths where you really want to focus on the products that interest you. For instance we will definitely want to check out the A-TACS FG ACU exhibit at Propper International's #10764 booth, which is on level two in the Outdoor Wear Section. Other great companies surrounding them include Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson LEO, Danner, and Magnum Boots. A search feature allows you to narrow down a booth by Exhibitor, Product Category, as well as Brand.
With their MyShow Planner, you can pick exhibitors direct from the floor plan and place them in MyExhibitors, so you have a person shopping of list of who you can't forget to visit. Once you have registered, it is very user friendly and convenient to organize your time.
They also have a MyEvents calendar that allows you to schedule sessions for different presentation that are being given. A Session Catalog allows you to see which events will be going on and at which times along with an easy button to transfer that information to your calendar. It also allows you to plan your personal meetings, so that you can fit in any trade partners or potential prospects that you would like to meet with.

Other big featuers of the MyShow Planner are the Press releases highlighting new products or other media information as well as a favorite among attendees "Specials". Everyone loves a deal and SHOT Show certainly has them.
A lot of times you have to have cash on hand to grab any discounts or clearance items, but some booths have credit swipers that will happily charge your card.
On the other hand, a lot of exhibitors have freebies that they give away to help promote their brand, which are listed in the "Specials" Section. You can also find more information like where to get Steven Seagal's autograph, assuming you can fight the hordes of fanatics in a battle to the death, along with dealer order incentives and new product promotions.
This will be an exciting event for us and we will want to spend our time wisely, but at the same time you want to have fun with the experience and enjoy the massive orgy of guns, gear, and did we mention Steven Seagal. Just make sue he doesn't spell it like the bird, he is a trickster at times with his cunning wit. Bill fell for that one last year. Good times. Organize your 2012 SHOT Show at: My SHOT Planner
