Fashion Design Camouflage Development

Wish X Publish Camo Pants
We touch on this topic from time to time simply because it is interesting to see how engrained camouflage has become in the fashion world.

Clearly there is a huge difference between what those in the military community call Gucci Camouflage and what Gucci actually uses as a camouflage design on their handbags, footwear etc.

The Publish Brand has their own camouflage patterns and colorways that they utilize in their high fashion men's wear.

While we don't bash them for their passion it does seem their end goal motives and their proposed inspiration seem a bit askewed, but perhaps we are simply something in their mix. Here is a video promo showing how they developed their camouflage designs.

It is interesting to see that terrain or other key aspects for concealment in military camouflage design are certainly not at play in their creation as is the case with MultiCam, A-TACS, and PenCott Camouflage patterns. However, we understand that the final product is meant to be popular and look "cool" rather than hide you in a nightclub from that girl you never called back. Perhaps they need to go back to the drawing board and combine those two aspects. Maybe watching Top Gun or Navy Seals can help them out with that.
