Camo Correction: Desert Tiger Stripe on Afghan Forces

A couple of our kind readers brought it to our attention that the camouflage worn by the Afghan Forces in  today's post is Desert Tiger Stripe and not British Desert DPM as was highlighted ad nauseam in error. Guess we don't get it right all the time, so kudos to you great readers out there for having a keen eye and pointing that correction out for us.

Our friends over at Soldier Systems Daily confirmed their suspicions as did Christian Lowe of Kitup! who noted: "The Afghan National Directorate of Security troops, or NDS, have been wearing tigers for a few years – both jungle knock offs and desert. Also I’ve seen Afghan Border Police wearing desert tigers…"

It turns out that the NDS, which is Afghanistan's intelligence agency wear many types of camouflage as well as all manners of uniforms through their various missions. US Special Operations and other nations have utilized the Original Desert Tiger Stripe camouflage as well.
