We have been anticipating the release of some photos for Safariland's tactical line of products, since they announced Protech's use of the A-TACS camouflage on its equipment. Not only did they introduce their best and brightest FAV™ MKII Tactical Platform with an Enhanced Quick Release version. The tab loop to drop the Armor Carrier in one quick pull is in the center of the chest under the LI on POLICE, which can be hard to see given the matching A-TACS camo webbing in place.

This Armor Carrier features eight mag pouches, plate carrier pockets all around , built-in wire routing ports, identification hook and loop system at the upper harm, rear and front, soft armor that can be removed, removable weapon retention pads, internal cummerbund, a full MOLLE Compatible webbing for attachments at the front and flanks. You can also purchase additional protection accessories to add on to fill in the gaps of the standard system for a custom personalization.
The FAV MKII Enhanced QR is manufactured with 1,000 Denier Cordura Nylon and and the interior is designed with Diamond Ripstop material for added comfort. Obviously A-TACS is the latest addition to their color line up, but other options for this carrier run the gammet including MultiCam Camouflage, UCP/ACU, Digital Urban or Woodland Camo, Ranger or Tactical Green, Black, Khaki, and Navy Blue.
It was noted that a custom armor carrier was created for the Transformer's 3 Film, but I would not be surprised if it wasn't very similar to this model given its popularity prior to the quick release option being added. It can be assured that the Law Enforcement Community will be excited to have this new plate carrier system available for ultimate protection. We haven't seen price figures yet, but prior models without the Enhanced QR system can be seen to range from $1.3-$1.9K depending on the customization, so you can be assured there will be a premium price tag for this awesome tactical product.
