Iowa National Guard Homecoming in MultiCam ACU

These National Guard members have the distinction of being the first major deployment utilizing the new MultiCam Army Combat Uniform in Afghanistan. The OEF specific camouflage also known as OCP has now made its appearance back in the town of Boone as these Iowa National Guard Soldiers make their return home after their eleven month tour.

The Des Moines Register has this great video of the celebration and warm welcome back last week. You can see a few soldiers wearing the UCP Camouflage that originated on the ACU, but the fast majority of soldiers have on the Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern. There will be a steady stream of these National Guard Soldiers back from Afghanistan over the next week.
