Happy 236th U.S. Army

Just over one year prior to the United States declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress established the Continental Army with close to 30K soldiers. Over two centuries later the U.S. Army has grown to the strongest military force in the world with over One million strong including the National Guard and Reserve.

The photo below shows Army Chief of Staff GEN Dempsy, SGT MAJ Chandlery, and Army SEC McHugh celebrating the occasion this past weekend at the Army Birtday ball in National Harbor, MD with a cake cutting ceremony of massive proportion.
