Aussie Mixing the Camouflage

As we have seen many times before there is always a transitional camouflage period, where a slow change of patterns on uniforms and personal equipment evolves. This can be a slow process as procurement of the different items as well as distribution does not always take place at the same time.

Here is a cool shot of some soldiers in the Australian Special Operations Taskforce Group wearing MultiCam predominantly, but one of the Aussies has a Desert Digital Boonie hat on. I would expect this to be a personal preference rather than any a matter of function or waiting.  However, it will be interesting to see the new images as MultiCam becomes predominant among Australian armed forces in Afghanistan. Especially some shots of their Desert Pattern (aka "hearts and bunnies") hats or gear on a MultiCam Combat Uniform.

  1. That photo is from last summer.

  2. Yeah. They have been wearing it for a while now.
