Boeing Awarded $35 Billion Dollar Refueling Tanker Contract

The New York times just broke the news that Boeing will be the company to manufacture the new refueling tankers for the U.S Air Force. The back and forth finagling and failed attempts by EADS, European manufacturer of Airbus, to land the contract may have come to an end. However, EADS has won the bid previously to have it snatched away due to flawed procedure. In the end, the jobs created will remain in the United States, and with a Boeing win, a U.S. company will profit. When $35 Billion is at grabs and political will is put forward, I don't think any losing side would claim a fair process was in order.
